Rv Awning Does Not Roll Up Straight

Not sure i fully understand but i toss out a suggestion.

Rv awning does not roll up straight.

I had the same problem with our weather pro auto awning. The grab strap should be centered equal distance from each end of the roller tube. Mine does that as well the top of the forward arm doesn t quite seat so i get in the truck bed and smack it into position. Shift it some and then roll the awning back in.

This is a quick and easy fix that requires just a few. Roll the awning up and watch which way the fabric travels left or right as it rolls up and then slide the fabric in the roller until when rolled up the fabric does not walk left or right. Lift the awning up by the tube. The fabric might not end up being centered on the roller but make sure it stays aligned while rolling up then rivet it to the roller.

Does it struggle to roll up tightly or straight. Awning not lining up straight when retracting. Is it the result of the awning not rolling up centered or is one of the arms out of alignment. It might be time to adjust the tension.

If the awning does not seat correctly yet. Has your rv awning been sagging. Has it had a lot of water pooled in it or maybe it is just somewhat old. I am sure most caravan owners who installed roll out awnings on their caravans have faced the problem when the rv awning not retracting straight while most of you might be thinking the entire structure of the caravan rollout awning is the cause your rv awning won t roll up the issue might only be with the alignment and the position of the rv awning arms.
